Who are we?
Lismore & District Financial Counselling Service has offices at Casino and Tweed Heads and we provide outreach to Ballina, Lismore, Evans Head, Pottsville, Murwillumbah and Mullumbimby.
We provide a free and confidential service giving information and advice on personal debt issues
We can act as an advocate on your benalf
We are funded by the Commonwealth Financial Counselling Program and the NSW Financial Counselling Program
We receive no funds from credit providers or debt collection agencies
We do not charge for our services and advice
What do we do?
We give advice to people struggling with personal debt through face-to-face appointments and telephone advice.
We can advocate for people with severe financial issues
We give advice on dealing with debt collection agencies
We provide community education on financial counselling, personal debt and credit and debt issues
